A Light at the End of the Tunnel

It’s a busy time for me at work with college basketball. The season is flying which is nice, but I’m ready for some baseball. It’s the light at the end of the tunnel.

There’s a lot of news regarding Mets ownership lately, but, I’m not spending time talking about it one way or another. It is what it is. Hopefully everyone can focus on the guys that put on the uniforms, especially when Spring Training opens.

I’m excited for the season despite the lack of any big signings. I’ve always been a Mets fan and always will be. I’m ready to see the guys take the field, watch some baseball and see what happens.

Nik and I are hoping to catch the Mets home opener at Citi Field and will be seeing the Mets when they come to Wrigley. A trip to Pittsburgh is in the works. It’s a new season and I’m ready to welcome it. Let’s go Mets.

We’re also traveling to Colorado for a wedding and will catch a Rockies game. The opponent? The Cubs, of course. Because you know, I can’t see them any time I want.

As for our American League rooting interest, the White Sox, we bought a 7-pack of tickets. We’ll see the Sox take on the Twins, Rangers, Indians, Dodgers, Tigers, Red Sox and Yankees. We usually go to a handful of games at The Cell, and we thought this was a good deal and a good way to see a variety of teams. I certainly cannot wait to cheer against, and yell at the Yankees.

Side note: The picture at the top of this post was taken during Chicago’s Blizzard, or BlizzNasty, as I called it. I love how our Mets flag stands out so clearly from the snow and red brick.
